Day 7

It's Day 7 on our East Coast Tour. Fingers are nearly nu mb while our skin nearly torn, but we are enjoying this trip. So many wreckless drivers, easy to get hit by a car. In fact, we almost did! It's crazy here, nothing like home. The trees at home have leaves. Reporting the day to you in Hawaii here is Chelsie Kuali'i and Kalyn Kanaeholo. (applause)

...
ahem,
*CLAP NOW!*

Awaking at 6 a.m. breakfast at 7 a.m. Breakfast was frozen cold. On the menu we have, bacon, "eggs", and some plastic thing people here call bagels and waffles. There was also cereal, but we eat that everyday at home.

Moving on, imagine having a flat behind from all the sitting on the bus. I guess you can call it lazy. We actually got to do some shopping here in Washington D.C. Souvenirs galore, kids scrambling to buy family gifts.

After spending
BIG BUCKS $$$ in a souvenir store we got to see the Peterson House where Lincoln died after he was assassinated. For those of you that think it's a big word.......after he was shot.

Hehehehehe...

The group then visited The Capitol. Several of the group members were totally lost (us, for example) because our tour receivers DIDN'T work. Our group got lost trying to escape the body heat in the Capitol. After we found our way out, it was time to visit where the Declaration of Independence was stolen by Ben Gates. Also Known As Nicholas Cage. National Treasure, for those who could not comprehend. The Constitution was also there along with other old documents, like the Magna Carta.

LUNCH TIME! YESSSSSA! IT'S ABOUT TIME! For lunch we went to the Old Post Office Pavillion (AGAIN, thanks Tom) there was SUSHI (yay!), and the normal ice cream shops, along with some cheeseburgers.

Visited the Holocaust Museum for 3 tiring hours. Here's what we did. Watched the same movie twice, got depressed from what was placed before our eyes and just chillaxed.

After the Holocaust Museum we went to re-visit the Jefferson Memorial. Then it was DINNER TIME! We went to the Vie De France. Made a couple friends from California. Somehow one of them knew a lot about Hawaii. If you saw him, you'd swear he looks like a ninth grader at our school named Justin Hirae. He had friends named P.J. Hogan, and a dude, Moku we referred to as Tighty Whighty. Pua ting =<. After they left, we had a trivia question from one of the workers. "Name two cities in France". The prize, chocolate cake. Of course the smart kids we are ahem...knew the answer. However, some fat kid got in the way of the delicious looking chocolate cake. He must be a dork cause he blurted out the answer faster than he could run.

Ending our day with a visit to the Lincoln Memorial, we got to get in touch with happening from the past. Make that TRAGIC HAPPENINGS. The 19 foot Lincoln statue was classic and popular, but the Korean War Memorial was also a fascination. The one thing that made that visit worth while, was the last stop...Vietnam War Memorial. The trail we walked along really brought out our soft side as we saw the end-less wall filled of engraved names of the brave honorable soldiers that laid down their lives for the future of ours. Rest in Peace homies and MUCH love from all of us on behalf of Kamehameha School.

Okay after a long day like ours, we deserve to catch some zz's...so good night and see you all very soon.

GO YANKEES!!!!!
